City Surveillance System – $40,000 Grant

The foundation approved a $40,000 grant for the City of Hartsville toward a computerized surveillance camera system. The funding will also allow the city to purchase laptops for police cars. From these laptops, police will be able to monitor footage from the new surveillance camera system.

The new cameras will add to the security downtown as well as the public’s perception. The board felt this was a good and necessary move to help improve the city’s security.
